SENIOR
WELLNESS - At Friendship Pet Hospital we believe that
animals of all ages can enjoy a high quality of life. Our senior
wellness program focuses on early detection of health
problems - before a pet becomes seriously ill. (Animals over the
age of 7 are considered senior). Preventative
treatment allows for more cost effective care.
Troublesome
symptoms to watch for include weight loss, increased thirst or
urination, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhea, poor coat, coughing or
seizures. If your senior pet exhibits one or more of these
symptoms, please call our office at 480-889-0881 and schedule an
appointment.
Degenerative processes commonly found in older pets include liver disease, dental
disease, heart disease, cancer, thyroid disease, osteoarthritis and
diabetes.
