Dr.
Lynne Hoban was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She received a Bachelor
of Science degree from Cornell University in 1982. She then graduated
in 1986 from Virginia Maryland Regional with a Doctor of Veterinary
Medicine degree. She has practiced in several states, including
Maryland, Texas, California and Arizona.
Most recently she was on the staff as a general practitioner
of a small animal practice in North Scottsdale named Horizon
Animal Hospital. Before working at Horizon she worked at Mesa
Veterinary Hospital as a general practitioner. Her areas of
special interest include endocrinology, internal medicine and
ophthalmology. In March 2005 she started her own practice,
Friendship Pet Hospital, in Fountain Hills.
She is married to Dr. William Stevens, a military physician,
and they have an eight-year-old son named Jonathan. She owns
three German Shepherds: Vashti, Luzy and Max, and one Persian
cat named Suzy. Her interests outside veterinary medicine are
the competing in the German dog sport of Schutzhund with Max
and gardening. +++  
Dr.
Candace Emerson grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. She graduated
with honors from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Wildlife
Conservation Biology. She then attended Veterinary School at
Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Upon graduation, Dr.
Emerson returned to Arizona. She joined Friendship Pet Hospital
in 2007. She and her husband, Matt, have rescued 3 dogs; 2 Border
Collies and a Chihuahua mix. They have one son and are expecting
their second child in August 2009. +++ 
Dr. Laura Roth grew up in Missouri and received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Virginia
Maryland Regional College. Upon graduation, Dr. Roth worked as a
researcher at the N.I.H. in Washington, D.C.. She created genetic
models for human and animal diseases. She was also involved with
the Endangered Wildlife Trust in Africa, working to propogate cheetahs,
snow leopards and leopards. Dr. Roth lives in Scottsdale with her
two cats, bearded dragon (Lizard) and gopher snake.
Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday,
and every other Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, closed Sunday. Appointments
